Hi! My name's Michelle, or "Mich" for short. I'm from the southernmost part of Texas, in an area called the Rio Grande Valley. Once you live there for so many years (or forever if you never escape), you come to know it as "The Valley". Though I've had the opportunity to venture other parts of the world, I can confirm that the old adage is true, "there IS no place like home", and The Valley will always hold a special place in my heart. But anyways, enough of the cheese. Here's a bit about my career path:
After graduating from high school in 2016, I graduated early from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2018 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts focused in graphic design. I then worked at a local print shop for almost 2 years as a graphic designer. While going to school and working, I often lived a high-stress lifestyle. So, I recently relocated to the San Antonio region seeking a career and life change. I am in the midst of establishing my art career so that I can eventually work as a full-time artist-- minus the "starving" part.
In school, I explored a number of mediums-- from oil painting to lino-cutting, but acrylics always felt right. My current focus is painting portraits of pets and people. I enjoy the challenge of creating realism with acrylics, which are naturally fast-drying. However, the best part comes from seeing how each piece emotionally effects its recipient. I hope to continue creating art for people to cherish and enjoy for as long as I can.

This is an image of Michelle painting a cloudy sky onto her bedroom ceiling.

Here's me fulfilling my childhood dream of having clouds on my ceiling, which I painted the summer I graduated from high school.
